Location: palm-fringed Tripoli

Occassion: two-day EU-Africa summit

But in a 45-minute speech described by one EU diplomat as “aggressive”, the white-robed Libyan leader Moamer Kadhafi said: “We want win-win relations based on mutual interest, not on exploitation. Europe talks to us of governance, human rights,” he added. “Africa needs economics, not politics.”

On Feb. 21, 2011

Location: Tripoli (the palms are down because of chemical gases and fires)

Occassion: AFRICA UPRISING (the awakening of the slaves…!)

“Our spirits are high and the leader, Muammar Gaddafi, is leading the battle in Tripoli and we are behind him, as is the Libyan army. We will keep fighting until the last man standing, even to the last woman standing … We will not leave Libya to the Italians or to the Turks … Our spirits are high.  Muammar Gaddafi is not Zine al-Abidine or Mubarak. [He is not] a traditional … leader.” said his beloved son Saif al-Islam Gaddafi warning of civil war unless order was restored.

Meanwhile 230 people are dead…!
